Trail conditions update from Elizabeth May 1 – 9, 2018: “The first 50 km from Sarah Point were beautiful, no snow. 2 km before Tin Hat, we hit some snow (1 metre) it was possible to walk with boots but our socks got wet. After Tin Hat, there is some snow and it makes the trail be really slippery because it’s steep. From Elk Lake to Walt Hill, there is snow the whole way and the trail is in really bad condition (especially between km 110 and 112) because of the trees blocking the way. We stopped before Troubridge. Also, some people told us that Elephant Lake is frozen and that there is a lot of snow on top of Troubridge.”
